Our Story
Lightbulb was born from a simple observation: tertiary institutions across Africa were struggling with outdated infrastructure, fragmented systems, and limited access to modern educational technology.
We saw students being held back not by lack of talent or ambition, but by systems that couldn't keep pace with their potential. We saw institutions wanting to innovate but constrained by legacy platforms that were expensive, inflexible, and difficult to use.
So we built Lightbulb—an AI-powered academic operating system designed specifically for the unique needs of African tertiary institutions. We're not just digitizing existing processes; we're reimagining what's possible when you combine world-class technology with deep understanding of local context.
