Cookies Policy - Lightbulb

This Cookies Policy explains how Lightbulb uses cookies and similar technologies across our learning marketplace. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how we handle your information.

1What Are Cookies

A quick explanation of cookies and similar tracking technologies.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Lightbulb uses cookies and similar technologies, like local storage, to make the Services work, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used.

2How We Use Cookies

Why Lightbulb sets cookies: keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, and measuring usage.

We use cookies to keep you signed in between visits, remember settings like your language preference, understand which courses and pages are most useful, and measure the performance of the Services so we can improve them.

3Types of Cookies We Use

Essential, preference, and analytics cookies — and what each one does.

3.1Essential Cookies

Required for the Services to function, such as keeping you signed in and securing your session. You can’t opt out of these without affecting how the Platform works.

3.2Preference Cookies

Remember choices you’ve made, like language or display settings, so you don’t have to set them again on your next visit.

3.3Analytics Cookies

Help us understand how learners, academies, and companies use the Services, so we can improve the product. We use aggregated, non-identifying data wherever possible.

3.4Advertising Cookies

Our web app (start.lightbulb.study) uses the Meta Pixel, which sets Meta cookies (such as _fbp) so we can tell whether our adverts on Facebook and Instagram lead to visits and purchases. Our Privacy Policy explains what the Pixel sends to Meta and how to stop it.

4Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by services we rely on, not directly by Lightbulb.

Some cookies on the Services are set by third parties we work with, such as analytics and payment providers. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review.

5Managing Your Preferences

How to control or clear cookies through your browser.

Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting them. Because essential cookies are required for the Services to work, disabling them may affect your ability to use parts of the Platform.

6Changes to This Policy

How we'll let you know if this policy changes.

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date above.
